Hello, I’m Dr. Corry Timpson. I was born and raised in a small town in Utah, Spanish Fork. After graduation from Spanish Fork High School, I attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah. I interrupted my undergraduate education for two years to serve a mission for my church in the Netherlands, Amsterdam Mission. Following my return, I completed my studies at USU and received my Bachelor of Science in 1985, in Pre-Dental Biology. That fall I entered Dental School and graduated with the Class of 1989 from the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry.
While at USC in Dental School, I was given what I would say was the best dental education one could receive. I was able to serve as a preclinical teacher assistant in the restorative classes for the underclassmen. I was selected to a focused study group, where I was able to study at the feet of real pioneers in Rehabilitative Dentistry and gained greater clinical experience in highly advanced dental cases.
When the time came to graduate in 1989, I was honored with being inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the Honorary Dental Society), having graduated in the top 10% of my class, (#6 of 120). Thanks to my brilliant professors and mentors, and from my outstanding clinical experiences, I was given two special awards at graduation. I was given the Excellence in Prosthodontics Senior Award bestowed by the California Section of the American College of Prosthodontists. This award is given for restorative and rehabilitative dentistry. Secondly, I was also awarded by the USC School of Dentistry the Charles S. Pincus Award for excellence in Cosmetic/Aesthetic Dentistry.
Following graduation, I was flattered to be asked by one of my professors to join him in his practice in Santa Monica, CA. While practicing in California, I was able to stay involved at the USC Dental School by working one day per week as a pre-clinical instructor, teaching the student’s operative and restorative dentistry before they began treating patients. I was able to continue teaching until I joined Dr. Nisson at Warm Springs Dental and moved my family to Henderson, NV in 1994.
Moving to the beautiful community of Henderson has been the smartest decision I could have made. My three children, Natalie, Cameron, and Alyssa were blessed to have received their education here in the Henderson schools, having all graduated from Green Valley High School. I have personally been blessed to have been able to be active and serve in my local church congregation.
Practicing now with my USC Dental School classmates, Dr. Nisson and Dr. Newton, and being surrounded by a team of highly skilled and compassionate team members, allows us to provide all of our wonderful patients at Vibrant Dental the care they deserve. Our goal is to have all of our patients achieve their own personal optimum complete total body health by receiving the pinnacle of care and compassion.
